Northstar Coffee Co.

A complete brand overhaul and e-commerce rebuild that turned a beloved local roaster into a nationally recognized online brand.

Core Deliverables

The Challenge

A strong product. A brand that needed to catch up.

Northstar Coffee Co. had spent six years building a loyal following across three Pacific Northwest locations. Their single-origin roasts were exceptional — but their digital presence and brand identity no longer reflected the quality of what was in the cup. They came to Meridian Studio ready for a transformation.

"Our new brand identity and site drove a 61% increase in online orders within the first quarter. The agency team felt like an extension of ours."

Marcus Reid

Founder and Head Roaster, Northstar Coffee Co.

Project Highlights

Brand Identity Redesign

We developed a full visual identity system for Northstar — including a refined wordmark, custom typography pairing, a warm-meets-refined color palette, and a comprehensive brand guidelines document. Every touchpoint, from packaging to social templates, now speaks with a consistent, premium voice.

Shopify Store Rebuild

Their legacy site was rebuilt from the ground up on Shopify 2.0 — featuring a custom theme aligned to the new brand, optimized product pages, a subscription model integration, and a mobile-first checkout experience. Page speed scores improved by over 40 points on average.
