A Story of Hope

Portrait of Marcus Williams, church member

"I walked through the doors of Cornerstone in January of 2025 carrying more weight than I knew how to put down. I had lost my job, my marriage was struggling, and honestly, I had stopped believing that things could get better. A neighbor invited me to a Sunday service, and I almost said no. I am so glad I did not. From the very first week, people here saw me — not my situation, not my failures — just me. The community care fund helped my family stay in our home while I got back on my feet, and the men's discipleship group gave me brothers I did not know I needed."

"By June I had found new work, and in September I was baptized in front of this incredible congregation. My wife and I are in a marriage small group now, and we laugh more than we have in years. None of that happens without the people who gave so that a place like this could exist. Your generosity is not just a line item in a budget — it is the reason my family is whole again. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart."
